Garden Fresh's entry into HK began sometime after Oct 2014 when Sino Grandness announced the appointment of a distributor there. Here are the investor's field report and pictures:

Went to 5 wellcome store at Kowloon (Jordan, 油嘛地,Mongkok), found 3 stores selling Garden Fresh drinks.

Out of 3 stores, 2 stores sell loquat + 红果乐,1 store only sells 红果乐

Wellcome stores are like NTUC stores. Near every train station you can find 1-2 stores.

hawthorn3.15Garden Fresh hawthorn juice bottles sit next to the well-known Pocari drinks. My observation: The loquat drinks are put on normal shelves, not in the fridge or in the cold drinks display area.

That means if customers want to buy something cold, Garden Fresh will be off his radar screen.

And all Garden Fresh juice bottles on display have around the same expiry dates, so I believe they are from the same production batch.

Another observation: There were 8-12 types of juices on the shelves (500ml) bottle types, so Garden Fresh doesn't really outshine the other drinks.

However, for loquat juice, there was only Garden Fresh.

Personally, I find the loquat juice packing more appealing.

loquat3.15The sole agent for Garden Fresh in HK and Macau is Hin Sang Group, a HK-listed company.Note: There are more than 200 wellcome stores in Hong Kong.

According to Sino Grandness press release in Oct 2014, the next target would be other leading convenience stores such as 7- Eleven. There are currently more than 900 7-Eleven stores in HK.
