With today\'s announcement from Z-Obee that the listing on HKSE is suspended pending further notice, I think shareholders and would-be investors should be doubly cautious when it comes to dealing in the shares of the company, as there may be unreasonable expectations built into the lofty valuations. One has to ensure one\'s capital is always protected and preserved. In investing, nothing else matters. Chasing profits is always much less important than preventing losses.
The Hongkies dont want to be the ones buying SG stocks at high valuations. The Company has been advised by SinoPac Securities (Asia) Limited, the sponsor of the Company in the application for the HK Listing that the listing committee hearing for the application for the HK Listing was heard on 10 December 2009, but the final review process by the SEHK of the listing application of the Company is currently suspended. Due to concerns by Hong Kong regulators over the recent price fluctuations of the shares of companies listed on the SEHK by way of introduction, SEHK has temporarily suspended such listings on the SEHK while the Hong Kong regulators identify ways to address the issue. The Directors are of the view that as the application for the HK Listing is temporarily suspended instead of being terminated or withdrawn, the special general meeting of the Company to be held on 30 December 2009 will continue to be convened as scheduled.
