Hi forum readers, If you have extra cash, it is the time to accumulate slowly some good stocks or blue chips counter. Divide your buying into 3 to 5 times instead of buying all at one time. Accumulate till early Feb 10 for the CNY rally. Now Hong Kong, China, USA( Correction now ), Japan stocks have gone down significently. All the major fund managers are standing by their funds to buy in one go ONCE ALL THE SELLING IN USA AND ASIA MARKETS ARE OVER -MAYBE AROUND NEXT WEEK. Of course, if Dow breaks the 10000 level, better close all your positions. It is gamble to take but traditional there is always a CNY rally regardless of whether it is big or small.

According to Kevin Scully, boss of NRA Capital, today: I think this correction provides an excellent buying opportunity as stock markets are underpinned by improving economies and corporate earnings. The main risk is the removal of excess liquidity from credit tightening and possibly new legislation from the Obama plan (if and when it gets implemented). So better avoid stocks (especially blue chips) which are trading at high PERs if these are not backed by strong earnings growth. www.nracapital.com/netresearchv4/researc...log.aspx?blog_no=468

That means Stocks, especially BLUE CHIPS, held by foreign funds are extremely vulnerable.... BANKS are OVERPRICED and HIGHLY SURPRISED....:woohoo: Does that mean those penny penny stocks which could not attract foreign funds\' attention are very very SAFE now, because the funds cannot and do not sell them down:P

Finally! The bloody Dow jumped! I feel sorry for those who were swayed by negative sentiment in the market, and sold their shares yesterday and last week. :( The Dow jumped this morning because manufacturing activity in the US was higher than expected. Good news! Stocks should recover today in Asia. :cheer: Who has strong stocks to recommend? From the forum, i gather that winstorn luvs Oceanus, erelation luvs Teckwah, neontet luvs Sinotel, MacGyver luvs Techcomp, etc.

Today seems that many investors are happy with the strong showings from Dow Jones, Nasdaq and S&P500. Also HSI and SSE are now in solid positive index of 1.2% and 1.32% respectively. If tonight Dow Jones closed positive again with at least 0.5%, then I can safely say that the Dow Jones had bottom out and on the uptrend to the next level. Stocks to recommend: Swiber: If can overcome 1.10 level, it will goes back to at least 1.25 level again. SGX: Today, it had bounce off its strong support level of 7.85 and with today strong closing, it will goes to 8.50 level. Kep Corp: Today is sell on news. Remember what happen to Ezra when they won S$1.0 billion contract, their share prices was flat for some 3 weeks at 2.00 before going up to 2.50. Therefore it is time to accumulate this stock and expect to slowly goes to 9.30. This may be the start of the oil rigs award season. Imagine if they announce another oil rig contract in 1 to 2 months time, the price will shoot up again. I post - you decide
