You may know GSH Corporation (GSH) for its high-quality hospitality and development assets across Malaysia and China.

We’re talking about impressive places like the 384-acre Sutera Harbour Resort in Kota Kinabalu, complete with two five-star hotels, a golf course, and a marina.

Essentially, GSH -- which are the initials for its executive chairman Goi Seng Hui, better known as Sam Goi, a billionaire -- has been rooted in tangible, beautiful physical assets -- but it
is quietly making a leap into bitcoin mining.

The Funding For the Digital Dream

This strategic shift is backed by serious capital. GSH recently completed a strategic placement that brought in S$111.87 million from Capitalwise Global, which now holds a 18.5% stake in GSH.

Out of the net proceeds, S$35.4 million is earmarked specifically for the Digital Asset Mining Business.

Crucially, this placement also fixed the balance sheet, reducing pro-forma net debt by about 23% and generating estimated annual interest savings of S$4.7 million, according to a tickrs analyst report.

High financing costs have contributed to bottomline losses for GSH in the prior three years and in 1HFY25.

Meet the New Business: Bitcoin Mining

According to tickrs,  GSH's
plan is simple -- operate as a self-miner. This means a wholly-owned subsidiary will acquire and operate digital asset mining machines for blockchain validation.

It won't be a hosting provider for other miners; all the Bitcoin mined will be for GSH’s own account.

Revenue will be generated when those mined coins are sold for fiat currency.

Why Bitcoin? According to tickrs analyst Jaimes Chao, globally, policy is validating the asset class, with the U.S. even establishing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

Meanwhile, Singapore is building a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital finance, positioning itself as a leader in bridging traditional finance and digital innovation.

The Secret Weapon: Priority Access

GSH's strategic investor, Capitalwise Global, is directly linked to Antalpha, which acts as the strategic partner and "financial special forces" for Bitmain, the dominant global manufacturer of Bitcoin mining rigs.

So, GSH gains privileged access to Bitmain's supply chain.

It shouldn't have to wait in line during bull market shortages or pay high reseller markups to acquire the latest hardware, like the Antminer S19 XP or S21.

While the immediate focus is self-mining, this move creates massive longer-term upside optionality, says tickrs.

Since GSH owns substantial hard assets (hotels and land), building this digital foundation puts it in a position to eventually capitalize on the multi-trillion dollar opportunity of Real World Asset (RWA) Tokenization, says tickrs.

GSH is transitioning from a property developer into a diversified platform integrating real estate, hospitality, and digital infrastructure. It’s a brave new world.

Target price of GSH

The analyst values GSH stock using the Sum-of-the-Parts methodology, identifying a base RNAV which represents the liquidation value of GSH’s physical assets net of consolidated debt, calculated at S$0.182 per share.

JaimesChao linkedinJaimes Chao, analystTo this, a Strategic Placement Premium of S$0.078 per share is added, derived directly from the recent strategic placement price of S$0.25 per share.

By adding up these components, tickrs arrives at a 12-month target price of S$0.260.

The stock, recently trading at S$0.20, offers investors exposure to the digital pivot at a roughly 20% discount to the price paid by Capitalwise.
