You mean there are no crooks among non S-chip companies?
On the contrary, there are plently more!!
Singapore's Accord Customer Care Solutions,
Citiraya Industries,
Informatics Holdings,
Auston International,
Leong Hin Holdings and
Greatronics Ltd
So the key fact is not with the origin of the Company. But the management and it is up to investors to decide for themselves how much they trust the management.

One simple suggestion. Look for s-chip that have or are going for dual listing. My theory is that such companies should be safer since they are subjected to regulations by two exchanges. Of course must still look at other factors such as managment, growth prospect, etc. I also prefer net cash companies. Gaoxian is one such company that fits into my bill.
