DBS Vickers issued \'buy\' and 88-ct target price this morning! Wireless enhancement sector in China would benefit from rising share of telecom spending. ââ¬Â¢ Sinotel is among the top 10 players in the sector, credited with a cost-efficient business model. ââ¬Â¢ Trading at 55% discount to its peers. Initiate with BUY for over 60% potential upside.

COMBA and CENTRON which is trading in HKSE, is also flying through the roof. The huge valuation gap between Sinotel and these comparative companies are getting ridiculous. Yes, Sinotel is smaller etc,.. but the gap is not justifiable, I think. It goes to show that investors in SG is so apprehensive towards all S-chips that I fear that if this condition continues, the function of the market itself could be in doubt. :side: cklliew wrote:
I have been monitoring Telestone and China Grentech in Nasdeq for quite sometime already. Telestone had hit a new high yesterday, going from single digit PE to a double digit PE for already quite sometime already. Sinotel is grossly undervalued. mokooi wrote:
Hi guys, From what i understand from Sinotel, is that they currently in advance talk in appointing a market maker, but cann\'t really say when, hopefully by this year. anyway, i believe all of us think that Sinotel has great growth potential and the shares are damn cheap. you all can check out Telestone (ticker: TSTC) listed in NASDAQ, it\'s a Chinese company doing the same things as Sinotel. Checkout the revenue nad net profits, compare it with Sinotel, and see what valuation the\'re trading at in NASDAQ, and you will see that Sinotel has great potential for is shares to run up, just to match the valuation. I think the issue is because Sinotel is an S-Chip and the stigma associated with S-chips are not doing them any favours. I personal take is that you will most likely a higher price in the next few months after the US market maker is appointed. I think Sinotel has to communicated to the market regarding the strategy and purpose of doing the ADR listing.
mokooi, the US and China peers are very rich in PE. my god, Sinotel only 5X now!!!! my kakis think Sinotel worth $1.50. What do u think?>>> by the way, got article on DBS Vickers\' initiation coverage already. excerpts at:

US market maker appointed already or not? I dont think DBS recommendation alone can explain why the solid jump today. 11% - omg. I read that appointment of market maker is the next important step. Once appointed the market maker can buy Sinotel shares from Singpaore market - then package as ADRs for quoting on US market. Sure got US fund managers eager to buy cos the valuation of Sinotel so cheap. Sell the peers, and buy Sinotel?
I would value Sinotel at PE of 10 ~ 11, so depending your EPS estimates, that would put Sinotel At 90cts to a little over 1 dollar, I guess. 1.50? who knowsââ¬Â¦ what I think is, it would depend on what price the market maker want to push the ADR or What price the ADR fetches in the OTC later that would determine the price of Sinotel in SGX. Ironically, I think it would be a case of the tail wagging the dog. :side: neontet wrote:
