10% HMD = 35m = about 20% of HMC market cap Quite substantial, to double up or not?
Singapore Medical Group and Q&M have both made request for a trading halt. Is this a prelude to something? A merger/collaboration with Q&M will mean the ability to use business premises as GP and dental clinics, thus creating cost synergy. Healthway should have thought about it.

Could be a rumour. But the idea makes sense as Pacific and Healthway can achieve synergy. In fact it would even be better if they also merge with dental group Q&M. this way their clinics can all offer dental and gp services together thus saving costs.

More nonsense ?! Saw on another job board that pacific and healthway want to merge ?!
both Q&M and SMG are very aggressive and entrepreneurial, i am not surprised. healthway might be sticking to its synergistic plan to be service provider for HMC when it lists.
Healthway in SGX top 20 actives today, hitting a high of 8.5 cents so far today.

2013 will be good or supposed to be good cos they will do someting about their property ambitions. The stoc could reach 12 cents. however, the fact remains that healthcare is a tough business -- just look at their profit margins these past few years. !
Healthway plans to distribute 10% of HMD to entitled shareholders upon the listing of HMD. Based on its recent announcement on the disposal of 1% HMD stake to several individuals for $3.5 million, it means the 10% stake it plans to distribute to Healthway shareholders is worth $35 million. As the number of Healthway shares is about 2.2 billion, the $35 million worth of HMD shares to be issued to Healthway shareholders works out to 1.59 cents per Healthway share. Can someone please advise if my reasoning and calculation are correct?
I told you.... now up 10% today and bingo! at 9.2 cents.
