Hot stock, up 5X in the past 1 year. It's overvalued imho. The market cap is $186 million on stock price of 2.7 cents currently. To merit a PE of, say 10X, Equation should earn $18 million in net profit. Can it do so this year? Maybe but there is no real data to point to it.
Historical performance is 2016lost $10.8 million, 2015 lost $6.5 million and 2014 lost $3 million.
All we have now is what looks like an overhyped story about its new security solution being adopted by Walmart.
NAV is only 0.3 cent, so it is trading at 9X book value.
(1) Goodhill Enterprise (S) Pte. Ltd. applied to adjourn the hearing for the application to wind up Equation Resources Pte Ltd for the reason that they were still awaiting quotes from prospective private liquidators to be appointed in the liquidation; and
(2) the High Court adjourned the winding up hearing to 10 February 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
The Board will announce the outcome of the application on 10 February 2017 and will also make further update announcements on this matter at the appropriate time.
