i was at the sales room last weekend. the agents were shouting out the units just sold by them. seems like many of the 150 units released were sold. total 581 units.
Go find out if they have released the high floor units, as I don't think the Melb. authorities will approve a 71 storey condo in Queen St as it'd dwarf the surrounding buildings and cause more traffic jams. Maybe it has to be reduced to 30 to 50 storeys max. ? Don't know if Oz law has been amended, that foreigners are only allowed to buy max 50 % of new projects. The locals will never pay such a high price so they either keep unsold units for rental or may sell to locals cheaper later. Check this out before you buy a unit.

i am not buying, just kaypoh only. also asked agent about the approval thing, n she says final approval in 2-3 weeks. google skyscrappercity n melbourne and u can c the city is approving many tall n slim buildings of high density. city is going thru an architecture renaissance with many buildings more pretty than those here.
Investor central has a video about why CES is not able to sell any units at it perth land parcel. See the video from 10 min onwards. Apparently, it can't build a 12 storey development when the height limit at the place is 8 storey.
