Between the 2 possibilities, I think it's a privatisation announcement. Why? Cos it asked for a halt "pending announcement of a corporate exercise.  "

China Animal Healthcare currently assessing potential delisting from Singapore!!!!

.....the Company has been cited specifically as a privatisation target. The Company has also received numerous phone calls and enquiries from its shareholders and other market participants on the possibility of such a privatisation.
By way of clarification, the Company wishes to inform shareholders that, as part of its constant evaluation of corporate options which may be beneficial to the Company, the Company is currently contemplating and assessing a potential delisting from the SGX-ST whilst continuing to maintain its primary listing on the SEHK.

The funny thing is that by confirming they are planning to delist before actually making an offer price, they've made it more expensive to delist as the share price has shot up due to the knowledge of their intentions. Of course, shareholders like me won't be complaining about the rise.
If the prices continues to rally on this news and the company becomes considerably more expensive, and the management/external entity is still interested in buying out its Singaporean shares, it shows how much deep value they see in this stock. It will also show how confident they are of the demand in Hong Kong.
I expect that in the long run, more of the clean s-chips will follow China Animal's path if they continue to remain depression-like prices due to few bad eggs.

congrats ethan on yr shareholding in CAH. Its hand was forced by news media (I suppose including this website) - it had to comment on its intention to delist from SG. It's a good outcome currently for minorities cos otherwise the stock won't have moved to 27.5 cents, which is dirt cheap still. CAH should not be allowed to delist at such a super cheap price. Anything below 33 cents is super cheap. Don't let them get away like Man Wah did when it delisted at super cheap price. Many investors now consider Man Wah a dirty name.

25.5 cents....down with the rest today, cos too many contra players need to get out after the run-up post-announcement of intention to delist. but after today?

Not much action today despite a rise in the market. People have forgotten the delisting story?
