It set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Regal Global Logistics (RGL), in Singapore on 7 October 2016 to operate the new business.
Regal International said the move is part of its continuing efforts to establish a strategic presence in Singapore, coupled with carefully planned diversification into complementary ventures of sustainable growth.
The incorporation of RGL stems from the need to address 3 main corporate objectives:
1) To establish and provide logistics service at controlled and affordable pricing, for the sourcing and purchase of raw materials for property development from other parts of the world that offers higher quality, more competitive pricing and wider selections;
2) To offer logistics solutions for the import and export of Halal products from future Halal Industry Zone in China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, in alignment with China’s “One Belt One Road” initiative;
3) To complement Regal's vision to be a Halal hub Industries park operator as logistics is an integral part of a successful industrial park.
Regal said RGL is its new initiative to "tighten cost control, lower logistics volatility and ultimately to help maximize capital accumulation."
| Global Invacom Group: Its R&D and manufacturing arm, Foxcom, has launched a low-cost Iridium / GPS repeater. The compact coax kit is the latest in Foxcom’s highly successful range of Iridium and GPS repeaters, adding further capability to the radio frequency over fibre equipment specialist. Iridium satellite telephones are used globally but have been limited to outdoor use only, as building structures block the ingress and egress of the signal indoors. Repeater systems in addition to GPS L1 and GLONASS signals have been developed to overcome this barrier, eliminating any satellite acquisition delay when leaving the building. Foxcom’s latest coax-based Iridium repeater enhances the technology further, enabling satellite telephones to operate indoors using a low cost solution. For example, when used in an aircraft hangar the Outdoor Unit and Indoor Unit may be just a few meters apart. Additionally, the cost of the coax-based kit is significantly lower than that of the optical version. |
