How to get the best home loan ...
YOU CAN count on the fingers of one hand the number of brokers you would call to get good advice on private home loans.
One of them is Bryan Ong. He is only 29 but if the Singapore mortgage business is a race, he is currently way ahead of many. He is infused with lots of energy, and he has chalked up a sterling track record.
He has brokered hundreds of millions’ worth of loans, he says.
Now, this is a sum we cannot verify but we know that the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore does check its files against what people say in the media. And Bryan knows that.
“I see a few dozen potential clients a week, and close a deal with almost every one of them,” he says.
The success streak he has achieved in the last few years has enabled him to own a 1,033 sq ft apartment in Novena area and an investment condominium unit near Boon Lay MRT station.
He now drives a black Mercedes-Benz C200.
He moved out of his parents’ HDB executive flat in Pasir Ris at the age of 23.
Bryan says he has close contact with a wide range of banks, and offers clients good advice on the loans that are most suitable for them and at the best interest rates.
Clients don’t pay him anything but he gets a referral fee from the banks.
Find out more about what he does by watching a Channel News Asia programme on him which is uploaded at his website www.bcgroup.com.sg.
On the horizon is his plan to join forces with high net-worth investors to co-invest with him in properties. Already, he is talking to some and scouting for bargains.
His ultimate dream is to list his company on the stock exchange. How many 29-year-olds are in the same league as Bryan?
